Across raging seas and in overloaded ships, the first "blue-on-white" porcelain reached the Dutch quays four hundred years ago. Savvy traders brought this pottery back from the imperial porcelain cities of Asia. It was so popular that creative Dutchmen created their own versions of this Chinese porcelain. Delftware was born. For hundreds of years, this unique art was passed down from master painter to apprentice. Heinen Delftware is now one of the largest producers in the world, but Heinen Delfts Blauw is much more than just Delftware. Heinen Delfts blauw develop modern interior design collections inspired by traditional Delftware, though no longer recognized as such.
