Leon Senf (1860-1940)
Leon Senf took drawing lessons at the Polytechnic School in Delft, where Jan Toorop was a fellow student. He also attended drawing evenings in Pulchri Studio where he met G.H. Breitner and Suze Robertson. Until 1930 Senf worked at the painting rooms of De Porceleyne Fles. He designed tile panels, pottery and decors here. Senf was also an independent artist. He produced drawings and graphics. The theme "labor" was central to his drawings. He lived and worked in Noordwijk and Voorburg. His work is represented in the collection of, among others, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

Marked on reverse plate "1 Sept. 1900-1925 CLBR and C.J. Lanooy" This on the occasion of his 25th anniversary as a ceramist
Measures: 28 cm diagonal, and 5,5 cm high
Chris Lanooy (1881-1948) was a pottery painter, glass designer, decorative artist and potter who focused on technology in his designs and therefore experimented a lot with his mediums. At the age of fifteen, he worked as an apprentice-plateel painter at N.V. Haagsche Plateelbakkerij Rozenburg. After working as a decorative painter for a short time, Lanooy went to pottery in Gouda. He works at Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland in Gouda, and the Purmerend firms Brantjes and Haga. From 1907 he started as an independent potter and he developed decorations inspired by the decoration styles from the Far East. In addition, from 1908 Lanooy is also connected to the Glasfabriek Leerdam for which he designs utility glass and later also unique items.

Johnny Rolf was born in 1936 in The Hague (The Netherlands).
She met her partner Jan de Rooden in 1956. They settled in a studio in Amsterdam in 1958. She was awarded the "Contour Prize Porceleyne Fles" in 1964, won a "Minister's Prize" in Faenza Italy (1966) and received several Dutch scholarships.
Her work is represented in various collections at home and abroad.
